Glen Iris Scorpions is a junior club associated with the Waverley District Association.  We have teams for boys and girls from under 8 to under 18.

Our club encourages participation, team spirit and the social and sporting development of all players.

Waverley Basketball Association’s Competition is divided into two seasons per year.  The Summer Season runs from October to March during school terms four and one, and the  Winter Season runs from March to October during school terms two and three.

Summer 2017

Congratulations to all Scorpions on a great summer season. The end of season will be celebrated with the presentation night this Thursday 22nd March at Waverley.  Presentations will be held in the downstairs court that is accessed from outside the stadium (just to right of the main entrance). Presentations times are:
  • 5:00pm to 5:30pm  U8 & 10 presentations
  • 5:30pm to 6:00pm  U12 to U16 presentations

This season will see participation awards given to all Under 8 and Under 10 players. Under 12, 14 and 16 players will have an MVP and Coach’s Award given out in each team, as decided by their coach.

Winter 2018

Registrations for Winter 2018 have now closed.  All players require a uniform to play (Scorpions singlet and shorts). More information on ordering uniforms can be found here.
